You may be wondering, why our meetups are unique?
Well, yes they are in English but there are many Expats meetups around the city. We believe that Our meetups are unique because they are more intimate, limited in the number of attendees and always connecting people on a deeper level. You come as a friend and leave as a family member. Also you discover something new in Zagreb and enjoy an intellectual pleasurable conversation. It has been like this and will always be.
Our last meetup was in Vegehop restaurant, where we had vegetarian lunch. Surprisingly, this time 90% of the attendees where Croatians. Almost every one ordered Ginger lemonade drink. The main dish varied from one person to another. Some had Salad and some had the daily menu which is including soup, main dish and salad. The new discovery for us was the vegetarian lasagna which was very tasty.
Dessert was for some Pancakes and for others Vegan cakes.
Our conversation was very interesting, Many of the attendees were expats in other countries such as USA, Germany and UK. Every one had a story to tell and an experience to share.
Adriana Kuprešak is Croatian / Australian who is settling now in Zagreb, shared her blogging and vlogging stories. You can check out her YouTube channel for a charming view of the city or follow her blog http://adrianakupresak.com/
A new discovery was, places that offers cultural and artistic activities. That was a recommendation by Ivana Rezek . Maybe most of the activities are in Croatian but you may be lucky to find an English speaking activity or follow our coming workshops. Sign up to the newsletter here.
We also talked about Education and the continuous journey of learning when we found a long list of websites that offers online courses. Here are some of them:
